Thanks for finding my Relatives

After more than 30 years of research on my family tree, i want to thank you very very much for confirming John Myers Low. I have been reviewing each John and Johannes born during the 1700's. It is ironic that I started my genealogy research while living in Grand Rapids, Michigan. for 17 years, not knowing why Low is pronounced to rhyme with cow. I am now 83 years old and enjoying retirement and can now rest, except that I have to convince my wife that we must now go to New Paltz and Kingston for a few days. We have enjoyed retirement in Florida now for 23 years. Thanks again for your info on John Low parents.

Hooked on Freer Family Web Site

I stumbled across your website surfing on the web and have been hooked ever since. My family are the only Freer's in this area. I had no idea we had such history. Thank you for your website.

Has Family Line by Kenneth Hasbrouck

Having grown up in the Gardiner / New Paltz area and having Ken Hasbrouck do our family tree, I am delighted and pleased to find your website. My mother & father were both life members of the historical society and only learned of the Freer family society a few years ago. Must join! Ken Hasbrouck was instrumental in doing two books on the genealogy of the founding fathers of the stone houses of New Paltz . Did he ever do his third book with addition of the next generation? Will be checking in often to see how your genealogy is coming along & waiting for your gift shoppe. Keep up the great work!!!

If you would like a reply about a third book please include your e-mail address here and Diane Rumble will get back to you. She also does membership Rick

We Visited New Paltz

Your site spawned a family vacation to New Paltz. How wonderful to see the original homes of ancestors, from so long ago! A great place to stay for families wanting to visit the area is the state park on the other side of the river. Wonderful cabins, and inexpensive too! We really enjoyed our tour and the information provided by the historical society, and this website. Thank you!
